These aren’t polite little hobby sessions.
My 10-week silversmithing courses are for people who want proper time at the bench, real skills under their belt, and the confidence that comes from showing up week after week and actually making things.
They run on weekdays, over a full term, with a break for half-term, roughly aligned with school terms. Roughly. This is a studio, not a timetable cult.

Courses are open to beginners, intermediate makers, and more experienced silversmiths who want structured time, access to a fully equipped studio and the freedom to develop their own ideas. Teaching is hands-on, practical and deliberately relaxed. You’ll be guided when you need it, left to get on with things when you don’t, and gently pushed when you’re capable of more than you think.

Classes are capped at just five people. That means plenty of individual support, zero elbow-jostling, and a small, brilliant group to bounce ideas off.
Expect a lot of making, a lot of problem-solving, and a fair amount of laughter. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits are always included. Cake and chocolate make surprise appearances. Creativity is fed accordingly.

Each course costs £285 per person, per term, and places are limited.
Current sessions run on:
