What's involved?

Coming along to one of my earring workshops means diving straight in. No endless demos, no dragging things out for the sake of it. In 3.5 hours you’ll design and make your own pair of sterling silver earrings from scratch, because I firmly believe you can do brilliant things in half a day if the teaching is good and the kettle’s on. You’ll be handed a solid 4 cm x 4 cm sheet of sterling silver and told, politely, to make something with it. You’ll saw, bash, file, texture and polish your way through the good bits and the slightly sweary bits, with me right there showing you how to do it properly. No stone-setting in this workshop. That’s not gatekeeping, that’s respect for a skill that takes longer than half a day to learn. This session is about metal, confidence and creative nerve. All tools and equipment are provided, creativity is expected (even if you swear you don’t have any), and the studio runs on strong guidance, bad jokes, tea, coffee, soft drinks, biscuits and cake. You’ll leave wearing a pair of earrings you made with your own hands, wondering why you ever thought you “weren’t creative”.
