Beginner's Bangle (click for details)

What's involved?

This half-day bangle workshop is unapologetically physical. You’ll start with a hefty 23 cm length of 5 mm wide sterling silver sheet or finer silver wire and wrestle it into a bangle that looks deliberate, not decorative. This is metalwork, not arts and crafts. You’ll hammer, heat, solder, form and finish your piece with me right there, keeping you on track and pushing you further than you expected. No stone-setting here either. Bangles are big statements and deserve your full attention. All tools and equipment are included, creativity is expected whether you feel ready or not, and the studio is fuelled by guidance, encouragement, tea, coffee, soft drinks, biscuits and cake. You’ll walk out wearing a bangle you built from raw silver, with stronger wrists, sharper confidence and the distinct urge to do it again.
