What's involved?

This is where you stop admiring rings and start making one. In this half-day workshop you’ll be handed either a 7 cm strip of 5 mm wide sterling silver sheet or finer silver wire and told, calmly, to turn it into something wearable. There is heat. There is hammering. There will be moments where the silver wins and then very satisfying moments where you do. You’ll learn to size, solder, shape, texture and finish your ring with proper, hands-on guidance throughout. No stone-setting. That’s not a shortcut, it’s respect for a skill that takes longer than half a day to learn. This workshop is about metal, nerve and doing the thing instead of overthinking it. All tools and equipment are provided, creativity is non-negotiable, and the studio runs on strong tuition, tea, coffee, soft drinks, biscuits and cake. You’ll leave wearing a ring you made yourself and quietly questioning why you ever thought this wasn’t for you.
